I Give You My Heart 

King David was a man after God’s own heart.  In Mark 7:6, 7 Jesus said, “Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.  Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

God wants access to our spirit which the Bible refers to as the heart.  To give your heart to someone is to do that which pleases him or her.  This is a blessed song.  Until there is genuine faith in receiving what God has done for the individual, selfishness reigns.  Singing it to God is a blessed endeavor.
