Time After Time
I challenge anybody to
try and find God’s Word untrue. Time after time, I always find it is
me who fails, never God’s Word.
The great phrase in
stanza one,
“Voice
approved from the excellent glory”
is from 2 Peter 1:17
“For
he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a
voice to him from the excellent glory. This is my beloved Son, in
who I am well pleased.”
This is a beautiful
song. I hired two singers, who I met at the Connecticut Songwriters
Association, to record five of my songs, of which 'Time After Time' is
one. When everybody in the church got tapes, they said, “Who is
this?” We want a recording of you. This was a very great
compliment to me of course which goes to prove that if you listen long
enough to some singer, no matter who good or bad, you start to like him or
her. I enjoy singing, but I’m no singer as it goes. I just
like writing songs. I sing to the Lord, if others don’t mind
listening, I don’t either. This is one of David Santoemmas favorite
songs. Nobody could sing it as a special except him.
